Krishnan Suthanthiran announces TeamBest Global Companies will not be exhibiting at upcoming ASTRO 2021 Annual Meeting
Washington, DC, USA – (EIN PRESSWIRE) – September 22, 2021
This press release is a follow-up to the two previous Press Releases by TeamBest Global Companies (dated August 24, 2021 and August 4, 2021 — links provided further below). After considerable thought and deliberation, Best Medical International (BMI), TeamBest Global Companies (TBG) and Best Cure Foundation (BCF) have decided not to exhibit at the upcoming ASTRO 2021 Annual Meeting/Trade Show, scheduled for October 24–27 in Chicago, Illinois. This decision is based on the need to protect the health and safety of all our staff, colleagues, customers and potential customers.
TBG tried to downsize its exhibit space, but it was not permitted, despite the number of COVID- 19 infections and deaths continuing to increase to around 150,000 infections with 2000 deaths daily, with these total exceeding that of even last year in USA.
The COVID-19 surge is straining the ability of many hospitals to maintain all services. Some hospitals are rationing Emergency Medical Services, such as ICU beds, as they are all being filled with COVID-19 patients. In addition, most hospitals have limited or banned travels to trade shows the rest of this year.
Reasonable organizations have cancelled their meetings and shows, or have decided to proceed virtually. The USA Government will continue to maintain current restrictions for international travelers to USA until early November 2021. It is not known what the parameters of international travel to the USA will be until they are released sometime in the future.
In view of the above challenges, TeamBest Global Companies and its affiliates have chosen not to exhibit at the upcoming ASTRO in person; however, the significant advertising committed to all ASTRO-related journals will continue as usual. TeamBest Global and its family of companies are the largest advertisers for all Medical Physics, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging journals.
TBG is hopeful that ASTRO does the right thing for the safety of its members, exhibitors and attendees by cancelling the live attendance at the 2021 Annual Meeting/Trade Show and change attendance to a virtual-only event.
The savings from the funds not spent on exhibiting will be used to fund more New Product Developments and offering Best Scholarships/Fellowships to Medical Professionals, including Residents.
TBG Companies wishes to express their deepest thanks to their colleagues and customers of many decades and hope to resume in-person attendance in the future. Best wishes, be safe and healthy. Health is wealth.
